Well, all my fellow blogging buddies.......the curriculum conference in Philadelphia was fantastic. I am leaving for the mountains in the morning so I will write a blog post about it when I get back, for all you teachers out there....was simply awesome and I learned a lot. When I got back, a friend invited me to go see a movie matinee with her.
When we walked in the already dark theater, I spotted a good friend chatting and enjoying her popcorn and a drink. I would know her head of hair anywhere....soooooooooo, I went behind her and stuck my hand in her popcorn and said " You not going to share any with your old buddy gf?" thinking she would get a kick out of me teasing her.
I don't know whose mouth dropped open wider...mine or the stranger who turned around and looked at me like I had lost my mind. I would have crawled under the seat, but I am too big...sigh. I apologized and told her I thought she was someone else...and offered to replace her popcorn. ......sooooooooo, maybe I need a longer break to rejuvenate.....as a result, we are headed to Biltmore House in the morning. I miss all my blogging buds......have a wonderful week-end......muwahhhhhhhhhh
The next time I go to the movies, I am definitely wearing my glasses!

Now THAT was awesome. I've had close encounters with the same type of thing, luckily, each time I've realized it's not who I thought it was BEFORE the point of no return.
Glad you're briefly back. I look forward to the day it's for real.
Enjoy your weekend too!
LMAO Girl...I don't go to the movies without mine at ALL! I can't see a thing in the dark. LOL So glad to see you're still ALIVE! I've missed you terribly! Enjoy your time off, and look forward to hearing about your trip!
Have fun at the Biltmore House!
That is the funniest story..thats exactly something I would have done! And then died of embarassment!!!
What did you think of Philly???
Oh Pam now that is embarrassing...but funny as all heck! Enjoy the mountains...may be a bit cooler there. We leave on Monday for a vaca, much needed one. Miss seeing you too. Debbie
Have a great vacay.
Well that is a definate OMG moment, I've had plenty of those in my lifetime. That is a sign that some serious R&R is in your future :) Have a great time on your trip! Hope you have fun in the mountains!
Oh my gosh, I'm laughing out loud here!!!!! I know it probably wasn't funny at the time....but you gotta admit - NOW....it's freaking hilarious!!!! Sounds so totally like something I would do!!!
Enjoy your time at Biltmore. I was there a few years ago. BEAUTIFUL place to visit!
I'm chuckling. Oh how I've missed your stories! Come back again soon.
Oh lucky you! I have not been to Biltmore but would love to go and some mountains to climb, well that would be heavenly instead of climbing frames and slides :-) Have a wonderful weekend
That is so funny!! I bet you were mortified!! Try to enjoy the rest of your summer, it tends to go fast!
I have mistaken someone for a friend before and I felt like a fool! I just explained that i was old and sometimes my mind stopped working! Oh well...glad you had a great tie at the conference, I always come back so excited and "fired up"!
OH that is hilarious. (if you are not the person that it happened to!) That sounds like something my hubby would do...has done.
WhOAH nelly. I have asked you a couple times where in this state you live...but I never come back to find your response. By your Biltmore reference you could about be my neighbor!!! hahah!
Still chuckling over this my friend, I can just see both of your faces....too funny.....Hugs
Ha ha! That is so stinkin' awesome. I would have just laughed and laughed at you if you had done that to my popcorn.
he, he- oh well!
Glad to hear the conference was informative and fun :) enjoy exploring the Biltmore over your break!
Girl, that is something I would SOOOOOO do!!! Maybe I better wear my glasses when I take my kids to the movies today!
HeeHee - Well they say everybody has a double... good story to tell your friend :)
Oh my Gosh - I love this post!!!!! Take as long as you want and enjoy your summer - I will be here waiting.
I found you from some other blog site.
This blog made me laugh. I am in the education field and come from a long line of teachers. All need a break some time. Apparently some more than others.
Great stuff!

That is hilarious! I hate moments like that, but I thought waving at a stranger was embarrassing, but THAT takes the cake!
Good news! I got a job teaching first and second grade at a Christian school! So I'll probably be hitting you up for some advice!
First off, what is your favorite place to get teaching supplies?
HAHA That's so funny. I wonder what the stranger was thinking... LOL
Hope you have a great trip...:)
