We have a two acre lot that is very wooded so it is hard to get a sunny shot. I thought you might enjoy seeing them. I spent the Easter break raking leaves and putting down mulch in my yard while the students in my class went to Disney world, cruised around Turks and Caicos or skied in Colorado. That's the difference in teaching in a private versus public school. While they spent the five day break listening to enchanting tribal music in an unfamiliar culture, I got to hear my back door neighbor's dogs bay at the moon or anything else that caught their attention. While one student explored centuries old open air markets, I shopped at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. While another student and her family got to curl their toes in the pink sandy beaches, fancy shops, and world-class golf courses of Bermuda, I got to sit on my screened porch and get lost in a book I won from Janet Ruth's blog Along The Way. Not that I am complaining. A five day Easter break is like a little slice of heaven!
Did you go anywhere exciting for Easter break?
Did you go anywhere exciting for Easter break?
So pretty! My oldest has HORRIBLE allergies and him and the 6 year old have spent spring break with Grandma, and I must have called 10 times to make sure she was giving him his allergy meds.
Stayed around the house and spent too much money going shopping with friends!!
Notta, had no vacation! I too spent the time cleaning pur yard!~ But I am so happy this time of year, and everything looks so pretty! You property is gorgeous...yes a lot of work but so worth it!~ I just love it! Thanks for sharing:)
Heather,
That sounds like me. I have terrible allergies. I am walking around looking like E.T. these days...sigh.
But wasn't it fun having the time off Gayle! Wooooohoooooooooo
Ahhhhhh Thanks Debbie darlin!
I am going to take some pics of a few rooms to email to you. I could use some of your expert advice!!!!! I didn't go to school today but am going tomorrow after church...will send you some book choices then.
Blessings my favorite blogger
Wow. You have a beautiful area around your home.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Wow is that ever pretty. We're actually on vacation as I type this in St. Pete, Florida.

What a beautiful yard!!! I'm green with envy, however, my thumb isn't the least bit green.
Those are some gorgeous pics!
We're on the beach, so we consider ourselves always on vacation!
I have to admit that I'm glad that our Easter break is over tomorrow. My two oldest boys need some time away from each other!
~Happy Sunday~
WOW - what a gorgeous yard! I love trees, so I'm soaking up your yard right now. I would want to get lost in a book while sitting on my porch, too!
Thank you for the nice comment on my kitchen. Yes, send me some pictures of yours, I would love to see it!
Hope you are enjoying the weekend!

~Savvy Seasons By Liz~
What a beautiful home and yard you have. This has been the worst allergy season ever. My allergies have been terrible.
Does sound like you did have a nice relaxing vacation sitting on your porch reading. Now that is very relaxing to me.
Have a great day.
You yard like heaven!! Beautiful pics! Happy Sunday!
Looks great!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Following you back! :)
gorgeous pictures and and really beautiful property! its looks like a picture!!!!
I love your place! I dreamed of living near nature but in my country, it's too expensive to have a home near one.
Following you back via Friday Follow. Have a great day!
I love your place!! Beautiful!! As for me and Easter break, I spent it at home doing much needed housecleaning and working on homework for seminary. No Disneyland or sandy beaches for me.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm your newest follower! Your azaleas are beautiful! I don't have a spring break, but DH & I went down to Napa, CA for a few days. It was lovely!
Picture perfect! Why go anywhere else? Vacationing is fun, but sometimes sleeping in your own bed and enjoying your home is just as nice!
mmm...Turks and Caicos does look like fun!
I am now following your blog. The pictures from spring break look great!!! Hope you have had a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm following!
See, told you I'd be right over to follow you, but are you sure you want to follow me?
I homeschool, but I do LOVE kindgarten teachers. Does that count?
Anywhooooo...great pics! We have a little over 2 1/2 acres and I love my woods and the pond at the bottom of the hill in the woods.
Hi! Following you back from FMF!
Katie♥
Why would you even want to go anywhere else when you have such a beautiful little place of your own? It's beautiful and reminds me when I lived in Virginia. Thanks for sharing the gorgeousness! (When it is sunny, I am outside and that is heaven to me!)
Thanks Missy! Sometimes I wish we had less trees!
Ally,
I hope you have a terrific time! Beautiful area you are in!
Mrs. A,
Join the club. Thankfully, azaleas take care of themselves!
Wow Shell. I didn't realize you were on the beach. I am so envious!
Liz,
I will do that as soon as I get home from school tomorrow.
Blessings
It was Anne...but the time just flew by...sigh
The photos are beautiful - you live in a peaceful oasis.
My break isn't until the week of Patriot's Day, which is 04/19. I can't wait.
Hope you have a good day back.
You live beautifully. What a peaceful place. We did not had a Easter break, only Ryan, my stepson was here most of the time because his mother works.
But he is a nice and easy boy, so I do no complain. Have a wonderful week!
Blessings to you as well Yonca!
Thanks Peppermint Patty!
Debbie,
You and your children will have to come visit sometime. We have plenty of room and there is lots to see around here!
Thanks so much Gene! Have a great week!
Wow Jennifer!
I have never been there. I'll bet it was!
Good point Anne,
I do prefer sleeping in my own bed at times!
Thanks Helga!
I look forward to getting to know you!
Thanks Barb!!
Carolee,
I am thrilled to have you follow me and vice versa. Please know that I am happy to share any information, units, ideas etc. with you anytime. I am proud of you for homeschooling!!!!
Thanks a bunch Peachy!!
Aw thanks Helena!
I love the beach, thats one reason...lol
WOW, how beautiful!! You're very lucky to have been able to spend your spring break somewhere so lovely! Looks relaxing. :)
I wouldn't mind staying around your house on vacation! It looks beautiful! I could see why your allergies would be acting up though!
check out those azaleas! I don't have any in my current yard, but growing up our lawn was full of them and oh how I loved them except they were always gone too fast :(
Thanks so much for signing on to Any Given Moment! I am now most certainly following you too and looking to kindergarten adventures in the future :) TJ
Thanks Twee,
We have lived there for 21 years. I planted those azaleas when they were 2.00 shrubs....lol
Lol Christa,
You are right about that. My yard is a haven for pollen.....sniff sniff
TJ,
Most of those azaleas were planted the first year we moved in....21 years ago. Time flies!!!!
Dear Theresa,
Your break is coming at a great time. The weather should be wonderful by then. Have a great week and thanks for your comment!
WOW! That's beautiful! We celebrated Easter at my in-laws. There have been 4 babies born this year so it was exciting to get them altogether!
Thanks Ellen,
Perhaps one day you and your husband can come to this side of the states for a visit. Your stepson sounds like a really nice kid. Blessings my blogging friend.
Awwwwww Messy Mommy,
How wonderful that must have been. Won't it be great to have them all so close in age!
First grade teacher here.
If you stay in from recess, can it really be called "recess". I hate stay in days. Recess is as much for the teachers as it is for the students.
Actually Cheeseboy yes! It can! We play four corners in the cafeteria, dance to Greg and Steve in the room, it just takes a little more creativity to get some exercise but it is still recess.
Nothing makes me happier than being home. Working in the garden, cooking in my kitchen, being with family. There's no place like home.
